Former Manchester United player Ashley Young looks all set to return to the Premier League but instead of joining Burnley, he is on his way to Aston Villa, as per talkSPORT.
The report claims: “Ashley Young is undergoing a medical at Aston Villa after snubbing interest from Burnley, talkSPORT understands.
“He looked poised to join Sean Dyche’s men earlier in the week following encouraging talks.
“Villa, however, swiftly moved in and are set to land Young, who played for them from 2006-2011, making 190 appearances.”
Last week, Ashley Young had agreed the terms with Burnley but Aston Villa and he was ready to join them on a 12 month deal as a free agent. But it looks like the 35-year-old is going to join Villa Park.
Spoken to a few clubs but looks like @AVFCOfficial have won the race to sign Ashley Young.

This will be his second stint with Aston Villa having played for them from 2007 till 2011 after which he went on to join Manchester United for a fee of £16.20 million.
Young is way past his prime but he will still be a fine addition to the Villa Park outfit since he played 1423 across 26 Serie A games for Inter Milan during the 2020/21 season.
It’s still unclear when Aston Villa are set to announce the signing of Ashley Young but some journalists claim they could make the announcement by the end of this month.
