Chelsea striker Alvaro Morata has surely been one of the biggest flops that the Blues fans have seen in recent years.

Morata arrived at the club from Real Madrid in 2017 and since then the player has not been able to secure a first team spot.

Both Antonio Conte and Sarri have chosen to play Eden Hazard as a false nine instead of using the misfiring Morata.

This season Alvaro Morata has played in 24 games for Chelsea in all competitions scoring just five nine goals. And out of these nine, only five have come in the Premier League.

And now it seems the player could be on his way out of the club.

Earlier this week Sevilla’s director of football, Joaquin Caparros had claimed that they are interested in signing Alvaro Morata.

“It is true that we have an interest in this player [Morata], but it is a very, very complicated operation,” Caparros told the Sevilla’s official television channel(as reported by Goal).

“The player may want to come here over other options, but it is very complicated. Chelsea are a club who are very difficult to negotiate [with].”

Now Atletico Madrid are also reportedly interested in the striker and could make a move for him during this month.

As per reports, Atletico Madrid are interested in bringing the player to Spain on a six-month loan spell.

Maurizio Sarri is already out in the market looking for a new striker and once that player arrives at Stamford Bridge, Alvaro Morata will surely fall down the pecking order.

So the Blues could very well let him leave and with Atletico Madrid looking to sign up the player on a loan deal, the transfer could happen this month.
