Aubameyang Arsenal EPL

Arsenal are yet to pick up a point in the Premier League this season but according to Edu, Aubameyang and Lacazette will come good this season.

The Gunners have not scored even a single goal in the league in their first three games but according to their technical director, Arsenal’s front two will ultimately succeed.

Edu told Sky Sports, as quoted by football london: “The case here is we really believe in the players we have in the squad.

“Maybe other people don’t but we do. If we start to see the squad together, we believe in the squad.

“I sit with Mikel and we see the squad. We have a striker [Aubameyang] there who delivers to us 25 goals every single season.

“We have another one [Lacazette] who delivers 15-20 goals every season.”

Last season, Lacazette scored 17 goals in 43 games across all competitions and out of these, 13 goals came in the Premier League.

But one of the main problems for Arsenal was the poor form of Aubameyang who could only manage 10 league goals last time around.

The Gabon international saw a massive dip in form last year(for one reason or another) and he’s yet to get back to his peak form. During the current season, the forward has played only 88 minutes across two league matches.

While these two players can surely turn up the heat in the final third but Arsenal will need their other players to come in support of their superstars. And at the moment, Mikel Arteta’s biggest focus should be to grind out results and move out of the relegation zone.
