Real Madrid have made a very shaky start to their 2024/25 La Liga season and things have gotten a lot more complex because Aurelien Tchouameni has picked up a foot injury.

The midfielder has sustained a metatarsal issue while training with the French national team and even though the extent of the injury is not known the latest reports are claiming that he is not going to be available for the Real Sociedad match on September 14.

The injury adds to Carlo Ancelotti’s woes because Camavinga, Dani Ceballos and Bellingham are already out with an injury and now, the setback to Tchouameni has left Real Madrid a little stretched in the middle of the pitch.

Aurelien Tchouameni becomes the fourth midfield casualty for Real Madrid and currently, Arda Guler, Luka Modric and Valverde are the only fully fit midfielders.

Thankfully, Carlo Ancelotti is not sitting with folded hands and according to a report in Defensa Central, the manager is going to promote youngster Manuel Angel from the academy team.

The 20-year-old has been with the Madrid youth squad since 2018 and last season, the central midfielder played 32 games in the Primera Federacion for Real Madrid.

Dani Ceballos and Tchouameni both started in the win over Real Betis but now that the duo is out injured, Luka Modric and Arda Guler are going to come into the starting lineup when Madrid head to the Reale Arena on September 14.

In that match, Manuel Angel will also come into the matchday squad just to make up the numbers and if Tchouameni is not out for long, then Carlo Ancelotti won’t have to use the 20-year-old.

Real Madrid have dropped points in two of their first four league matches and they are already four points behind league leaders Barcelona. In such a scenario, the Los Blancos cannot afford to lose any more points, even with so many important players missing.
