Fikayo Tomori, Kante & Wijnaldum Liverpool vs Chelsea

Liverpool look all set to lose Gini Wijnaldum at the end of this season and there’s a big chance the Netherlands midfielder could be heading to Bayern Munich.

Wijnaldum is out of contract at Anfield at the end of this season and according to transfer expert Ekrem Konur, the Dutch international has been offered a three-year deal by the Bundesliga giants.

He wrote on Twitter: “Bayern Munich in touch with Georginio Wijnaldum. The player was offered a 3-year contract. Talks on annual pay are ongoing.”

This is really a big blow for Liverpool since Gini Wijnaldum has been an ever-present figure in the starting line-up this season and Jurgen Klopp was trying really hard to pin him down with a new deal.

For months, he was being linked with a summer move to Barcelona just last month, the deal reportedly collapsed since the Barcelona players did not want Koeman to sign the 30-year-old.

This gave Liverpool added time and hope to convince Gini Wijnaldum to stay at Liverpool beyond the summer but it looks like their plans have gone completely in vain.

Bayern Munich are one of the powerhouses in Europe and there’s a big chance the midfielder will look to secure a move to Germany in the coming weeks, especially if Barcelona are no longer interested in signing him.

Jurgen Klopp did bring in Thiago last summer but the former Bayern Munich man is yet to settle down at Liverpool. But once he does, many pundits think the Anfield outfit are no longer going to miss Wijnaldum.

Gini Wijnaldum has played in as many as 34 Premier League games this season, starting in 31 of those.
