Tottenham Hotspur still have three more games to play this season in the Premier League and Ryan Mason has confirmed that Ben Davies will not be a part of them.

The left-back has been out of the side since the end of March owing to a calf problem and now it’s quite evident that the 28-year-old is struggling to get back to full fitness.

Ryan Mason told the press: “Ben is the only player who hasn’t trained (with the group), I’ll be honest, I’ll be surprised if he’s in contention for any of our remaining three fixtures.

“Ben was out on the training pitch today doing some individual work and hopefully he’ll progress over the next few days and next week. It’s too early to make a decision on the Euros but I’m sure Ben feels confident about that.

“We just know because he’s been out for such a long time that it’s not realistic to expect or think that he will return to training and will be playing for us in the next 10 days.”

Ben Davies has played in 20 Premier League games this season for Spurs providing two assists. But more than half of these appearances have come off the bench for the Welsh international.

Reguilon is currently the first-choice left-back for Tottenham Hotspur so Ryan Mason has nothing really to worry about that particular area of the pitch.

Spurs still have three more games to play in the league starting this weekend against Wolves and rotation could prove to be a headache for the interim coach due to the absence of Ben Davies.

Tottenham need to go full throttle in their next matches but with Ben Davies out with the calf problem, Reguilon will have to keep himself fresh and full fit until the end of this month.
