Brighton and Hove Albion defender Ben White has been having a dream time after he was just called up to the England squad for EURO 2020 and if things go well enough then he could be playing for one of the top-six Premier League sides next season.

Liverpool, Spurs and Manchester United have already been linked with the 23-year-old courtesy of his fine performances during the 2020-21 season and after his England call-up, the defender is now wanted by Arsenal as well.

The Mirror claims: “Arsenal have joined the race to sign Brighton’s £50m-rated defender Ben White.

“Gunners boss Mikel Arteta has become a big admirer of the newly-capped England international and they are keen on making a move this summer. They will face major competition from the likes of Liverpool, Tottenham and Manchester United in the 23-year-old.

“But White will be aware of the interest from the big clubs and his inclusion in England’s 26 man squad for the Euros will only increase interest in the versatile defender.”

Will Ben White be playing for a new club?

Ben White has come up through the ranks at Brighton and this past season, he was one of the standout performers for the Seagulls, playing in 36 league matches for Potter’s side.

And according to the various reports, the defender is very much aware of the interest in him and is also open to the idea of playing for a new club next season.

MEN claim: “Sources have told the MEN that White is open to the idea of moving to Old Trafford as he sees himself at a big club in the near future, having enjoyed a stellar season with the Seagulls last term.”

Liverpool have also been linked with him but since they have already signed Ibrahima Konate and have played like Matip and Joe Gomez at the club, we are not sure if Ben White will be ready to head to Anfield next season and fight for his spot.

Spurs could be a really good option for him if he wants to get regular game time but the Lilywhites’ interest in the Brighton man will only be confirmed once they announce their next manager.

Arsenal might have joined this transfer race but if Manchester United are serious about signing him, then the Gunners stand no chance. Not only can United offer him a regular place in the starting line-up but at Old Trafford, he will also be able to play in the Champions League while Arsenal will not be in Europe next season.

As per TransferMarkt, Ben White is valued at £25.2 million and he still has three more left on his current deal with the club so the Seagulls have no urgency in offloading him.
