Brahim Diaz is once again warming the benches at Real Madrid and as per the latest updates, some of the biggest European clubs want to sign him in January.
Diaz spent three years on loan with AC Milan and the Serie A side are interested in bringing him back to the club. Lately, along with Milan, Premier League big boys Arsenal, Spurs and Liverpool have all been linked with the winger.
Brahim Diaz joined Real Madrid from Manchester City in 2019 but his career has not taken off in Spain because he’s made just 74 appearances across all competitions. He did fairly well with Milan but this season, he has played just 200 minutes of league football.
Will Real Madrid allow Brahim Diaz to leave in January?
According to a report in MARCA, Real Madrid have very quickly made it clear that they have no plans of selling Brahim Diaz during the middle of the season.
Brahim Diaz might have seen limited game time this campaign but he’s still made three goal contributions in 7 appearances and created 6 major chances. Diaz has gotten a lot of game time due to Rodrygo’s recent injury and since the Brazilian international is yet to make a comeback, Brahim Diaz will continue to play a significant part.
Carlo Ancelotti does not have much cover on the right-hand side so it makes sense why the manager doesn’t want to lose Diaz. The 25-year-old is primarily a right-winger but can play all across the attacking line, even as a centre-forward.
In a season where Real Madrid are playing catchup, their manager wants to keep a full-strength squad at his disposal. Madrid are against selling Brahim Diaz and rightly so but it will be interesting to see how they will react if the interested clubs want to sign him on a loan spell.
Milan are surely planning a short-term loan move for the winger and even the three Premier League giants won’t mind signing him on a loan deal with an option to make it permanent.
Brahim Diaz is a product of Man City’s academy so he won’t mind returning to England however, he had a successful stint in Italy and he might prefer rejoining AC Milan if the Serie A giants are seriously pursuing him.
