Bayern Munich were keen to sign Callum Hudson-Odoi from Chelsea during the previous summer transfer window but somehow they failed to achieve their target.
And now it seems like the German giants no longer want to make a move for the young winger.
As per the latest reports, Bayern Munich are planning to make a move for Chelsea’s other winger Willian who is set to become a free agent during the summer transfer window.
While the Blues are willing to offer Willian a two-year deal but the player reportedly wants a three-year contract or else he is ready to move out as a free agent.
And possibly this is why Bayern Munich want to bring the Brazilian onboard instead of trying to fight it out for Callum Hudson-Odoi.
Last year, the Bavarians were pretty close to signing the youngster but now they feel that Chelsea have been able to convince him to stay which is why the Germans want to move for a target which is easily achievable.
Yes, clubs like Arsenal and Spurs are also interested in signing Willian but if Bayern come calling then there’s very little chance that the 31-year-old would want to remain in London.
Can Chelsea really hold onto Callum Hudson-Odoi?
Well, its a no-brainer that Frank Lampard would be happy to see Willian leave the club if he can hold onto Hudson-Odoi.
But can he really keep the 19-year-old at Chelsea beyond the summer?
The winger signed a new deal at the club in September after his reported move to Bayern collapsed but all throughout this season, the youngster has caught the attention of a number of big teams across Europe who might very well try and sign him at the end of the season.
So if a club like Real Madrid or Barcelona come calling for him, can Lampard really keep him at the Bridge more so if the club fail to qualify for Europe.
This is why we feel Chelsea should try and keep both the players for the upcoming season.
