Celtic FC have been on a topsy turvy ride this season under their new manager and they dropped points once again this past weekend, as Dundee held them to a 1-1 draw.
Unfortunately, Postecoglou’s side will have no time to recover and reaccess since they now have to face Bayer Leverkusen in the Europa League in midweek.
The Bhoys’ first game in Europe this season was a 4-3 loss at the hands of Real Betis and the way they have been performing since then, there’s every chance they could be staring at yet another loss.
This is the first time that Celtic FC and Leverkusen will be facing each other in Europe and it will be an uphill task for the Scottish side to pick up something from this game. But having said that, their backs are now against the wall and if they cannot secure even a point from this game then it will be very difficult for them to progress to the knockout stages.
Celtic FC team news vs Leverkusen:
The Celtic FC manager is dealing with a long list of injuries and he is expected to miss close to half a dozen players for Thursday’s game.
Some of them will be tough and go but we doubt if any of the injury-hit players will be fit enough to make it to the starting line up or not.

Josip Juranovic and James McCarthy both picked up knocks during the weekend and neither of them will be fit in time to start against Leverkusen. The absence of McCarthy means 23-year-old Ismaila Soro will come into midfield.
Christopher Jullien and James Forrest are both doubts for midweek meaning the centre-back pairing should remain the same as the Dundee game.
Juranovic was another player who was forced off during the weekend and with Greg Taylor also out, 19-year-old Adam Montgomery is expected to start on the left-hand side of defence for Celtic FC.
Celtic FC predicted line up vs Bayer Leverkusen:
Predicted Line up: Hart; Montgomery, Starfelt, Carter-Vickers, Ralston; Ismaila Soro, Turnbull, Tomas Rogic; Albian Ajeti, Jota, Liel Abada.
