England managed to beat Colombia on penalties in the Round of 16 and in turn progress to the quarterfinals.

Goalkeeper Jordan Pickford was undoubtedly the hero of the game and Gareth Southgate’s team are now stronger than ever to end their decades-old trophy doubt.

Before the tournament began not many people gave England a fighting chance as many believed that the quarterfinals were the best that the Three Lions can go. But now, more people are starting to believe Southgate’s side have what it takes to win the World Cup this year.




And the fans of England are not only limited to the United Kingdom.

As things stand a lot of people outside England are also of the view that England can win the trophy.




Amongst the non-English fans, the most recent one is Chelsea midfielder, Cesc Fabregas.

Fabregas who was a World Cup winner with Spain in 2010 clearly has a soft spot for Gareth Southgate’s side having spent most of his senior footballing career in the Premier League.




After England defeated Colombia, Cesc Fabregas tweeted: “Wait a minut. Is it really going home then?






And clearly, English fans were ecstatic which Fabregas backing the Three Lions.










But not everyone with happy with Fabregas changing alliances and took it upon themselves to point it out to the Chelsea man.










England still have a long way to go before they can lift the World Cup but Cesc Fabregas joins the ever-growing list of people who think that Gareth Southgate’s side have it in them to go all the way.
