Over the past couple of weeks rumours about Chelsea sacking their current manager has been doing the rounds and it recently reached such a stage that Conte publicly said that he does not fear getting sacked.

Now it is being reported that Chelsea might well have found a suitable replacement to the Italian and it is in the form of current Napoli manager Maurizio Sarri. Sarri 58, took charge of the Light Blues after Rafa Benitez’s departure in 2015 and since then Napoli have been on a steady rise. The club currently lead the Serie A table with 25 points against their name and Chelsea clearly feel that the Maurizio Sarri will be a perfect replacement for Conte.

As per the news, Chelsea are willing to offer the Italian a £9 million per year deal and this move could have as quick as January.

The Chelsea management is clearly unhappy with how their club have started their title defence as they now languish in the fourth position – 9 points behind leaders Manchester City. Will theoretically a 9 point gap can still be made up but looking at the teams that are above the Blues on the EPL table it will be nothing short of a humungous task.

Sarri though is no amateur to the managerial table as his career spans over 27 years and 18 different clubs.
