Chelsea and AS Roma are currently out in the market looking to buy a new keeper and both of them have their eyes on a very unlikely target.

The Blues are in serious doubt if they can hold onto their No 1 Thibaut Courtois while AS Roma keeper Alisson Becker is also expected to move out of the club during the summer transfer window.

And in such a scenario bringing a new keeper has become their utmost priority.

According to the reports, Chelsea and Roma are interested in signing Leicester City keeper Kasper Schmeichel.

Schmeichel who is a product of the Manchester City academy joined the Foxes in 2011 and since then the 31-year-old has played 295 games for Leicester.

Kasper Schmeichel was an integral part of the Leicester team which managed to win the Premier League trophy during the 2015-16 season. And now rumours have it that the shot-stopper is the subject of interest from a number of clubs.

Chelsea are finding it tough to hold onto Thibaut Courtois and their failure to find a new manager hasn’t helped the cause one bit.

But Roma’s interest in Kasper Schmeichel is sure to be good news for Liverpool.

The Anfield outfit have been chasing Roma keeper Alisson Becker for quite some time now but haven’t been able to make any sort of headway into the deal.

But now that the Serie A side are showing an interest in Kasper Schmeichel, Liverpool are no doubt close to signing Alisson during the upcoming weeks.

And after Kasper Schmeichel’s heroics for Denmark during the World Cup has just upped his value in the transfer market and Leicester City are going to find it hard to hold onto their keeper this summer.
