What’s common between Petr Cech, Fernando Torres, John Terry and Cesc Fabregas? Yes, they are or were Chelsea players. But apart from that, there’s also another piece of info that binds all these players. Each and every one of them has worn a facial mask at some point of their time during their Chelsea days.

And it looks like another name is going to be added to the list. The person in concern is none other than Pedro Rodriguez who suffered an injury during Chelsea’s pre-season friendly against Arsenal. The Spaniard was knocked out by David Ospina as the Gunners keeper was trying to clear the ball. Pardo collapsed on the ground and stayed there for a couple of minutes before the Chelsea medical staff had to take him off the field.

The 29-year-old was taken to the hospital as the Chelsea doctors had suspected a concussion but Conte assured after the match that it was nothing too serious. But now the Chelsea boss has given an update on the player stating that the injury was worse than expected.

Conte revealed that Pedro has suffered multiple fractures and is likely to play with a mask the next time he steps onto the field. The Italian also said that he expects Pedro to return back to first team training within 10 days.
