Chelsea win against Foxes:

The Blues comfortably beat Leicester 3-0 at the King Power Stadium to restore their seven point lead at the top of the Premier League table.

Chelsea saw a brace from Alonso and a 71st minute header from Pedro to give them the three points away from home. But most of the match buzz was surrounding the absence of Diego Costa and his potential move to China. However, the Spanish national’s absence did not affect Chelsea’s game as they cruised past the defending Premier League Champions.

The Foxes who were without players like Riyad Mahrez and Islam Slimani, who were off for national duties.They looked short of ideas to tackle the flair that the league leaders had to offer. After the defeat, the Foxes stand 15th in the league table with a total points tally of twenty-one and a goal difference of minus ten.

Chelsea restore seven point lead at the top:

While on the hand, Chelsea restored their seven point lead at the top of the pack to create a sizeable gap. This came just days after Antonio Conte made history by becoming the first ever Premier League manager to which the Manager of the Month three times in a row.

The Blues were previously on an unbeaten winning streak of thirteen games before their 2-0 loss at the hands of Spurs. If was Dele Alli who netted a brace to halt the Chelsea waggon as they were marching ahead prolifically. As a result of that loss, the Premier League title race was once again open for all the top five teams.

 

Diego Costa moving to China?

Chelsea somehow need to settle the Diego Costa issue amidst news of a potential fallout with the manager. This came after news started surfacing that Costa had been offered a multi-million dollar deal to play in the Chinese League. Costa’s former teammate Oscar has also chosen the Chinese route and is currently playing for the Chinese side Shanghai SIPG.
