Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel is still overhauling his squad and according to Foot Mercato, the Blues are interested in signing RB Leipzig midfielder Christopher Nkunku.
The attacking midfielder has impressed ever since joining the German club and this season, he’s already netted four goals in seven league matches.
While Chelsea are keeping tabs on the whole situation but according to the rumours, Manchester City and Real Madrid are also interested in the 23-year-old midfielder.
The report claims: “As announced by the Spanish press, Real Madrid is one of the clubs that court him.
“According to our information, Los Blancos are on good terms with the Israeli super-agent[Nkunku’s agent Pini Zahavi] since the arrival of David Alaba last summer, is even very interested in a transfer next summer.
“Madrid is not alone as two English clubs are also on the list. According to our information, these are Chelsea and Manchester City, the reigning European champion and the reigning English champion.
“At Chelsea, it is a certain Thomas Tuchel who officiates, the coach who had given him the most playing time with Paris Saint-Germain, but who could not prevent his departure to the Bundesliga. A choice that is paying off for the French, under contract until 2024 with RB Leipzig.”

Chelsea have one of the biggest squads in the Premier League this season but it looks like Thomas Tuchel is still trying to make tweaks by making new signings.
Christopher Nkunku is primarily an attacking midfielder but can also play down the wings, something which could be a big asset for Thomas Tuchel’s 3-4-2-1 formation. Also, Hakim Ziyech has failed to impress at the club so the Leipzig man might turn out to be a like-for-like replacement.
But if teams like Manchester City and Real Madrid are interested in him then the Blues will have to sweat it out if they wish to get their hands on Nkunku.
While Tuchel’s side are currently at par with Man City and Real Madrid in terms of recent success but if Christopher Nkunku chooses a move to Stamford Bridge, he will have to fight off several midfielders in order to get a regular spot in the starting line up.
The 23-year-old’s current market value is £38.7 million and his contract with RB Leipzig expires in 2024.
