Chelsea are trying to make a late bid in order to hijack Richarlison’s move to Ajax.

The 20-year-old prodigy currently plays for Serie A club Fluminense. And it has been reported that the youngster had agreed on a five-year contract with Dutch club Ajax. But now it looks like Chelsea have shown a growing interest in the striker and Conte has told his board to try and tempt the player to move to England.

And his agent has also confirmed the fact that the player is thinking about possible transfer moves to both Holland and England.

Speaking to FCInterNews.it, Richarlison’s agent said, “He is talking about Italy, but also England and Holland.”

The 20-year-old striker had also been linked with the likes of AC Milan and Manchester United in the past couple of weeks but his agent threw water to any such rumours by stating that there has been interest from a few clubs but those do not include Milan and United – as of now

“Inter and Sampdoria, yes, but not the Rossoneri, at least not right now.”

The Football Fan Base view:

Richarlison is a versatile player who can play in a lot of different positions, the wings as well as a striker so he will definitely be a wonderful addition to Antonio Conte’s squad. And given the fact that Ajax have agreed on a provisional deal for just £12 million Chelsea can easily attract the player towards London if they are willing to match or better the Ajax bid.
