According to the Telegraph, Crystal Palace manager, Frank de Boer is expected to make his first signing of the season in the form of Chelsea’s Ruben Loftus-Cheek.

As per the report, Loftus-Cheek is expected to complete the move to Palace within the next 24 hours, as all the personal formalities seen to have been taken care of. There were a number of clubs who had shown interest in Cheek but Crystal Palace seemed to have beaten them to the race.

Crystal Palace are the only top flight team up until now who haven’t made a signing. But they are now hoping to change that with the loan deal of Loftus-Cheek. The 21-year-old now becomes the third youngster to move out of Chelsea on loan this season. Earlier Tammy Abraham and Kasey Palmer had joined Swansea and Huddersfield respectively.

The Chelsea players recently returned back to training at Cobham as the manager put the players through their paces before the Blues leave for their pre-season tour to China next Monday.

But one of the notable absentees on the training ground was Diego Costa. The Spaniard has been given an extended break as the player is busy club hunting. Another player missing from training was new signing Antonio Rudiger. The German International too has been given a few extra days to cool off after the Confederations Cup finals.
