Alvaro Morata
Alvaro Morata playing for Chelsea

Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri seems to be losing his patience with Alvaro Morata as multiple reports have suggested that the Blues will be out in the market looking for a new striker.

During the start of the current season, the Blues manager chose to back Alvaro Morata despite his poor form last season claiming the Spaniard needed time and confidence infront of goal.

But despite a number of chances, the former Real Madrid man is yet to secure his place in the first team with Sarri having to constantly juggle between him and Olivier Giroud.

Some rumours have suggested that Chelsea will be looking to go after PSG man Edinson Cavani sometime next year meaning they will be more than ready to cash in on Alvaro Morata.

And keeping in line with this news, Spanish publication Marca are claiming that Alvaro Morata himself wants to leave Chelsea and has offered himself to Barcelona.

Yes, Barcelona have not made contact with the Spaniard but it is the other way around.

While a couple of months ago, this news would have hard to digest but given the current circumstances, Alvaro Morata joining Barcelona could be a reality.

The striker has been performing so poorly that Sarri has had to play Eden Hazard as a false nine instead of using either of his striker up-front.

Alvaro Morata has so far played in 20 games for Chelsea but he has managed to score only seven goals most of which have come against average teams.

Chelsea are sure to get rid of Alvaro Morata is he cannot improve his performances significantly but with this news from Marca it seems like the former Real Madrid man is hoping to keep some dignity and move out of Stamford Bridge before the club kick him out.
