Chelsea forward Eden Hazard has insisted he is not a friend of his manager Antonio Conte in a Q & A with Nike.

The winger was in immense form last season as Chelsea romped to the title victory. He formed incredible partnerships with Diego Costa, Pedro, and Willian as Chelsea under Antonio Conte in his first season in England stomped every team in their path.

However, the 2015 PFA Player of the Year reveals in his Q & A session with Nike, that he only has a good working relationship with the former Juventus manager, but nothing more.

I have a good relationship with all my managers. You know we train every day together and we can talk together and laugh together.

So yes absolutely we have a good relationship, I wouldn’t say “friends” because it is difficult to be friends with your manager so I wouldn’t say that but we have a good relationship.

The 26-year-old’s words will surely create a stir in the media as talks of him looking for greener pastures continue to surface every season. Nonetheless, his commitment in a blue shirt remains unaffected as he continues to be Chelsea’s star man.

Hazard had been out of action since the beginning of the summer after having a successful surgery on a niggling ankle injury but returned to competitive football action in Belgium’s 9-0 thrashing of Gibraltar on Friday.

He scored in the 2018 World Cup qualifier to cap off a solid return to football and is sure to be counted on by Conte for the remaining games of the season.

In another interview with Marca, the Belgian spoke about his excitement to link up with new signing Alvaro Morata.

“I have yet to play with Morataand I can’t wait to. He’s very young but he’s already won a lot with Juventus and Real Madrid, he’s able to score in every way and that will help us. The club is happy with his purchase. Real Madrid? Currently, they are the best club in the world. Everyone knows Zidane, he won everything as a coach and player. He’s magical when you think of football you think of him. My future? I’m very comfortable in one of the best clubs in the world, I intend to keep doing so for years. Win the Ballon d’Or? It would get nice but it’s not a top priority”

Chelsea face a daunting trip to King Power Stadium to face Leicester City when the Premier League returns to action this weekend.
