Chelsea faced Norwich City in the Premier League on Sunday and this was one of the easiest games that Thomas Tuchel will ever manage in his career.

The Blues ended up winning the game 7-0 but the scoreline could have looked even worse had the home side converted even half of their chances. Norwich City came into this match with little hope but no one really expected them to crumble so inadequately.

Chelsea managed 23 shots out of which 13 were on target and they created as many as 26 chances, out of which five were big ones.

This win not only helps Chelsea reclaim the top spot on the table but also reassures their manager that even without players like Lukaku and Werner, his side can produce a five-star performance. Next up, they head into the EFL Cup in midweek where they face Southampton, a team who have won just one out of their previous five league matches.

Chelsea player predicted line up vs Norwich City:

Edouard Mendy: 7/10

The keeper had very little to do as the Canaries managed only one shot on target throughout the whole game. He had to make only one big save which came out of a Ben Chilwell mistake.

Thiago Silva: 7/10

Like most of the defenders, the Brazilian did not have much to do but managed to keep his focus throughout and also marshalled the defence well.

Chalobah: 7.2/10

The 22-year-old is growing in leaps and bounds at the club and he had another solid night, winning four duels and making one clearance.

Antonio Rudiger: 7.5/10

The centre-back was not tested at all by the Norwich City attackers which allowed him to join in on attacks.

Reece James: 8.2/10

The right-back repaid his manager’s trust in selecting him by coming up with a top-draw performance. He created two chances and also scored a superb chipped goal in the first half.

Jorginho: 8.3/10

The Italian tucked away a penalty and provided one assist during the game. He had a passing success rate of 84%, with more than 50% of it coming in the opposition half.

Mateo Kovacic: 9.6/10

The midfielder was selected ahead of N’Golo Kante and he ended the match with two assists. The 27-year-old rarely put a foot wrong.

Ben Chilwell: 9/10

The left-back has once again moved up the pecking order at Chelsea and he once again found the back of the net, this being his third goal in three consecutive games.

Hudson-Odoi: 8/10

Hudson-Odoi was selected ahead of players like Hakim Ziyech and Loftus-Cheek and had a pretty solid outing. He made some really fine runs and also put his name on the teamsheet.

Mason Mount: 9.8/10

Mount was undoubtedly the star of the show and he’s fast becoming one of the key players for Chelsea. He bagged a hat-trick and an assist during the match but apart from that his movement and his passing was a nightmare for the Norwich City defenders.
