With Tottenham Hotspur slipping up during the weekend, Chelsea will need to win just two more matches to secure the Premier League title. They face Middlesbrough this week at Stamford Bridge. With a win, they can move one step closer to being the champions of England.
Chelsea team news and injuries:
Both N’Golo Kante and David Luiz are doubtful for the match against Middlesbrough. The Frenchman has picked up a muscle injury during one of the training session. While David Luiz is out with a groin injury. The Brazilian suffered the injury during Chelsea’s game against Everton last week and he is expected to be out for a couple of days.
First choice goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois will be in goal despite suffering an ankle injury during a commercial shoot. Conte will most likely play a back three against Middlesbrough with Cahill, Azpilicueta and Ake. Fabregas is most likely to play in central midfield alongside Matip.
The Blues have no suspensions for the match against Middlesbrough.
