4-2-3-1 Chelsea predicted line up vs Fulham: Will Enzo and Mudryk both start?

Reece James

Chelsea have been in woeful form under Graham Potter but that form hasn’t stopped them from signing players left right and centre. Todd Boehly has signed eight new players during the January window and hopefully, these new signings can help revive Chelsea’s form.

Chelsea have won just one game in their previous five outings and next up, they will take on Fulham in the Premier League on Friday night. The Blues are currently 10th on the league table whereas Fulham are seventh, two points better off than their London rivals.

Graham Potter has been really struggling to pull things together at Chelsea and with all these new players coming in, the manager will have a nightmare in selecting his best starting line up. The new boss will have little margin of error because he’s been properly backed in the transfer market.

Chelsea are undefeated in their last 16 home matches against Fulham in all competitions but this is a very different Fulham side that they will be facing. These two sides had met during the second week of January at Craven Cottage and in that match, the Blues suffered a 2-1 loss. Hopefully, the new Chelsea players can become the point of difference for Graham Potter’s side because a loss on Friday night will be enough to push them to the second half of the table.

Chelsea’s team news and injuries vs Fulham:

On the injury front, Chelsea currently have seven injured players and most of them are first-team regulars.

Players like Sterling, Kante and Pulisic are all ruled out for this game but thankfully, Reece James and Ben Chilwell have both returned to training which is great news for Graham Potter.

James and Chilwell have started first-team training meaning they are very much in line to start the Chelsea vs Fulham game.

Jorginho has been allowed to join Arsenal which has come as a surprise to many pundits. Despite Jorginho leaving, Chelsea have a host of midfielders and new signing Enzo Fernandez should be in line to start in the middle of the park.

Fernandez was a deadline-day signing for the Blues and he will line up to pair up alongside Mateo Kovacic.

Joao Felix remains suspended which means Mason Mount is going to play in the No 10 role on Friday night. Mudryk played around 35 minutes against Liverpool and the Ukrainian had a very good debut for the club. With Sterling out injured, he will play on the left wing.

Chelsea predicted line up vs Fulham:

Predicted Starting XI(4-2-3-1): Arrizabalaga; Lewis Hall/Chilwell, Badiashile, Thiago Silva, Azpilicueta; Enzo Fernandes, Kovacic; Mount, Ziyech, Mudryk; Kai Havertz.
