Chelsea Stamford Bridge

After being winless for nine games in a row, Chelsea finally managed to pick up a victory last weekend when they beat Bournemouth away from home.

Next up, they welcome Forest at Stamford Bridge and given how poor Forest have been this season, this one should be another easy three points for the Blues. Forest are just three points above the relegation clutches so they will do all they can to make sure they pick up something from Saturday’s game and stretch that lead.

Chelsea, on the other hand, are 11th on the Premier League table and they will need to pick up maximum points from their last four matches to make sure they at least finish in the top half of the table. This season is very much over for the Blues and now all eyes are on the owners to see whom they bring in as the new permanent manager.

Chelsea’s team news and injuries:

Lampard made several changes to the starting line up last week and because they were able to beat Bournemouth, the interim manager is not going to make wholesome changes.

Defenders Ben Chilwell, Koulibaly and Reece James are unavailable due to long-term injuries and even Cucurella and Wesley Fofana are expected to miss out on Saturday.

Chilwell picked up a hamstring injury against the Cherries and if Cucurella is not fit in time then Chalobah could be forced to play on the left-hand side of defence.

Nottingham Forest do not have a great attacking line up and they have managed to score only 34 goals this season but with so many first-choice defenders ruled out, the away side will be licking their lips.

The midfield trio of Kante, Fernandez and Gallagher were rock-solid and they will all hold onto their place in the side.

Kai Havertz and Mudryk were both underwhelming last weekend and both of them could make way on Saturday. Raheem Sterling provided an assist off the bench so he will start and Joao Felix is also expected to come into the first XI.
