Chelsea have been in fine form this season in the Premier League and next up they welcome Crystal Palace at Stamford Bridge on Saturday.

The Blues have managed to pick up 23 points from their first 11 league games and so far Lampard’s men have tasted only two losses.

Having picked up wins in each one of their last five league games we expect Chelsea to pick up all three points vs Palace on Saturday more so since the away since are winless in their last three matches.

Chelsea news vs Crystal Palace:

The Blues played superbly vs Ajax in the Champions League on Tuesday coming back from 4-1 down to draw the match 4-4. And after this match, the home side’s confidence will be soaring high.

Lampard named a very strong side in midweek and most of those players should be named in the first XI during the weekend vs the Eagles.

Tomori and Kurt Zouma have formed a formidable partnership in central defence and the pair will once again take the field on Sunday but the full-back roles might be a bit of a problem for the Chelsea manager.

In midweek, Reece James came on during the second half and put in a wonderful display vs Ajax. So naturally, the youngster will be hoping to be named in the first XI vs Palace on Saturday.

But we don’t think the manager is mentally ready to hand James a start meaning Azpiliceuta will once again play at right-back while Emerson is expected to start at left-back.

Jorginho is suspended for this game while Mason Mount is also an injury doubt thereby leaving Lampard a bit short-handed in the midfield area.

Ross Barkley is also close to a return from injury but the England international is still not a 100 per cent fit meaning Mateo Kovacic will be partnered by N’Golo Kante in central midfield vs the Eagles.

If Mount cannot make himself fit in time then it will be one of the forward who is likely to play in the attacking midfielder’s role.

Olivier Giroud and Michy Batshuayi have been itching to get starts upfront but just the other games, Lampard will once again deploy Tammy Abraham as the lone striker on Saturday.

Chelsea’s predicted line-up vs Crystal Palace:

Starting XI: Arizzabalaga; Azpilicueta, Tomori, Zouma, Emerson; Kane, Kovacic, Willian/Mount; Pulisic, Abraham, Hudson-Odoi.
