Chelsea manager Frank Lampard is set for a reunion with Jose Mourinho when the Blues take on Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League this weekend.

The Stamford Bridge outfit made a solid start to the 2019-20 season but during the past couple of weeks, their form has dipped as they have suffered four losses in their last five outings.

Their last away win in the league game in the first week of November when they beat Watford but since they have continuously dropped points both against the big sides and also against the so-called weaker teams.

Lampard has chosen to rely on his young brigade to pull him through this season but it looks like the likes of Mount and Abraham are running out of steam which has led many to believe that the Chelsea boss could opt for a more cautious approach when he takes on Mourinho’s Spurs this weekend.

Chelsea team news vs Spurs:

Antonio Rudiger has been out for most of the season with an injury but the defender has finally made a return back to the first XI against AFC Bournemouth last weekend.

Against the Cherries, Rudiger was partnered by Kurt Zouma in central defence and the same pairing will hopefully take on Spurs as well since Tomori is yet to fully recover from his hip injury.

Emerson started in left-back last weekend but we feel Azpilicueta will move to that position vs Spurs as Reece James comes into the right-back role.

Mason Mount started in midfielder vs Bournemouth but it’s clear the youngster has played too many games this season and is badly in need of a rest.

Pundits have been urging Lampard to drop Mount and the manager might finally listen to everyone and drop the academy lad to the bench.

If this happens the Mateo Kovacic will come into the midfield area after the Croatian came off the bench in the last match.

Willian has started a string of games under Frank Lampard during the last couple of months but there are rumours the Brazilian could finally fall down the pecking order as Callum Hudson-Odoi is given a chance to prove himself.

While many people believe this change will happen but we don’t think the Chelsea manager will opt for such a bold move when taking on a Spurs side managed by Jose Mourinho.

Chrisitan Pulisic was pretty average during the 1-0 loss to Bournemouth last weekend but he will most certainly retain his place in the starting XI when Chelsea travel across London to take on Tottenham Hotspur.

Chelsea’s predicted XI vs Tottenham:

Starting XI: Kepa Arrizabalaga; Reece James, Rudiger, Kurt Zouma, Azpilicueta; Jorginho, Mateo Kovacic, N’Golo Kante; Willian, Tammy Abraham, Christian Pulisic.
