Chelsea got back to winning weekend in the Premier League this week with a 3-0 win over West Ham United and next up, they face yet another London side.

On Boxing Day, the Blues will take on Arsenal at the Emirates and Frank Lampard will be looking at yet another three points.

Chelsea are just six points off of league-leaders Liverpool meaning a win against Arsenal could see them move back into the top-four of the table before the start of the next matchweek.

Lampard will urge his players to have a positive mindset from the very first minute since Arsenal are on a really poor run of form which could see the Chelsea players pick up a win without even breaking a sweat.

Chelsea team news vs Arsenal:

The Blues go into this match with a couple of injury absentees and both Lampard’s first-choice full-backs will be unavailable.

The Chelsea manager has confirmed that Ben Chilwell and Reece James are both out of contention for the Arsenal game meaning Azpilicueta and Emerson are likely to come into the side.

Lampard also has the option of using Marcos Alonso at left-back but we think he will stick with Emerson after he put in a good enough shift as a substitute in midweek.

Kai Havertz has been really underwhelming so far for Chelsea this season and it wouldn’t be a surprise if he remains on the bench once again.

Jorginho came into the side in place of Havertz for the West Ham United game but this time around it could be Mateo Kovacic who replaces the German in the starting XI.

Mason Mount and N’Golo Kante are likely to keep their place from the Hammers game.

Hakim Ziyech is also not going to be fit in time to take on Arsenal meaning Pulisic will operate on the right flank.

Callum Hudson-Odoi could come back into the first XI, replacing Timo Werner on the left-hand side of the pitch. Tammy Abraham scored a brace vs West Ham and should keep start ahead of Olivier Giroud.

Chelsea’s predicted XI vs Arsenal:

Predicted XI: Edouard Mendy; Emerson, Thiago Silva, Kurt Zouma, Azpiliceuta; Havertz/Kovacic, Kante, Mason Mount; Werner/Hudson-Odoi; Tammy Abraham, Pulisic.
