Chelsea could only manage a draw vs Arsenal in their previous Premier League game and next up they take on Leicester City which is expected to be another challenge for the Blues.

In recent weeks, the Stamford Bridge outfit have dropped points on a regular basis which has allowed teams like Man United, Wolves and Spurs to come into close quarters of that final Champions League spot on the table.

The Blues are currently 4th on the league table with 40 points and have managed to pick up just two wins out of their last five outings and given they take on the Foxes away from home, there’s every chance that Chelsea might return back home empty-handed this time as well.

Chelsea team news vs Leicester City:

Kepa has come under fire for his poor performances this season but right now he remains Chelsea’s undisputed No 1.

Christensen played in central defence against the Gunners last week but this weekend, the manager might choose to use young Tomori in defence alongside Antonio Rudiger.

Reece James is still recovering from his knee injury and will undergo a late fitness test in order to determine his availability.

Jorginho was rested during Chelsea’s FA Cup clash vs Hull but the midfielder will return back to the first XI alongside Kovacic and N’Golo Kante.

Ross Barkley played the full 90 minutes vs Hull City meaning the England international should start on the bench vs the Foxes this weekend.

Ruben Loftus-Cheek has returned back to training but the Leicester City match is too early for him to make a comeback.

Christian Pulisic too remains sidelined with an injury meaning Hudson-Odoi will start on the left flank while Willian will operate down the right-hand side.

Tammy Abraham picked up an injury during the second half of the Arsenal game and what remains to be seen is whether he is fit in time to start vs Leicester City.

If Abraham is not available then it will be Michy Batshuayi who will lead the line since Olivier Giroud is nursing an injury and is also on the verge of leaving the club.

Chelsea’s predicted XI vs Leicester:

Starting XI: Kepa Arrizabalaga; Azpilicueta, Emerson, Rudiger, Tomori; Jorginho, Kovacic, N’Golo Kante; Hudson-Odoi, Willian, Batshuayi/Abraham.
