Chelsea take on West Ham United in the Premier League on Monday and Lampard will be hoping to get back to winning ways.

Last week, the Blues slumped to a 2-1 loss at the hands of Wolves, a result which has forced them to slip to eight on the league table.

The Hammers have drawn their past two matches in the league despite that are just one point behind Chelsea on the table. But we do not really expect the Blues to drop points on Monday since Lampard’s men have won 11 out of their last 12 home matches in the league.

Lampard does have a couple of injury concerns to deal with but all of them could be fit in time to take on West Ham United.

Chelsea team news vs West Ham United:

The Blues will see Edouard Mendy in goal once again and the partnership of Thiago Silva and Kurt Zouma will be playing in central defence.

Reece James has a slight knee injury but the right-back should be fit in time to take on the Hammers on Monday. Ben Chilwell starts on the left-hand side of defence.

Kante seems to have won back the defensive midfielder’s role from Jorginho and the Frenchman will reprise his role on Monday.

Mason Mount is one of the first name on Lampard’s teamsheets and the youngster will play on the left-hand side of midfield with Mateo Kovacic playing on the other side.

Kai Havertz has been really underwhelming since he’s joined Chelsea and there’s a big chance the manager might opt to drop him to the bench.

Timo Werner has also not been able to perform but the German international should be able to keep his place in the starting XI since Callum Hudson-Odoi is still recovering from an injury.

Hakim Ziyech will go through a late fitness test and many reports claim he could be fit enough to start vs West Ham United. If not then he will start on the bench as Christian Pulisic plays on the right wing.

Olivier Giroud has been the man in form for Chelsea up front and he will once again keep Tammy Abraham on the bench.

Chelsea’s predicted XI vs West Ham:

Predicted Starting XI: Mendy; Zouma, Silva, Ben Chilwell, Reece James; Kante, Kovacic/Havertz, Mason Mount; Timo Werner, Giroud, Pulisic/Ziyech.
