Chelsea suffered a 1-0 loss at the hands of Everton this past weekend in the Premier League but now they will quickly have to shift their focus to their match against Wolves in midweek.

Despite the loss to Everton, the Blues, so far, have been in fine domestic form but all that could change if Wolves manage to pick up a win.

Right now, Chelsea are fifth on the league table but if they don’t manage to pick up three points on Tuesday then the likes of Everton and Manchester United have the chance to move above them on the table.

Chelsea have three major injury concerns going into this game but with most of his squad fully fit, Frank Lampard should be able to name his strongest side at Molineux.

Chelsea team news vs Wolves:

Edouard Mendy has been Chelsea’s No 1 ever since he’s joined the club and against Wolves things will not be any different.

Zouma and Thiago Silva have formed a formidable partnership in central defence but there’s a slight chance one of them could be rested in midweek in which case Antonio Rudiger will come into the starting XI.

Ben Chilwell will reprise his role as the left-back while young Reece James plays on the other side of the pitch

Kante and Kovacic have been one of the mainstays in Chelsea’s midfield and the pair should remain in the starting XI vs Wolves. But if Lampard wants to rotate his squad to avoid injuries then young Billy Gilmour is likely to come into the side.

Christian Pulisic and Hakim Ziyech are both likely to miss the trip to Molineux in midweek meaning Kai Havertz will have to play on the right wing once again.

Havertz was really poor in that role vs Everton but with both of the wingers out of action, the German international will have to play out of position.

Callum Hudson-Odoi is also out with a thigh injury and he’s not likely to be fit in time to take on Wolves.

Olivier Giroud has been the man in form for Chelsea over the past couple of matches but Tammy Abraham is likely to come into the side as the Frenchman is given a much-deserved rest against Wolves.

Chelsea’s predicted XI vs Wolves:

Predicted XI: Edouard Mendy; Chilwell, Silva, Zouma/Rudiger, Reece James; Kante/Gilmour, Kovacic, Mason Mount; Werner, Kai Havertz/Pulisic, Giroud/Abraham.

UPDATE: Christian Pulisic has been deemed fit by manager Frank Lampard and will be included in the matchday squad. It remains to be seen if he’ll be given a starting role or not.
