According to the Mirror, Chelsea are preparing to make a world record bid for Juventus left-back Alex Sandro. City have just signed Kyle Walker from Spurs by making paying the highest transfer fee ever for a defender. But now it looks as if Chelsea are trying to beat that by placing a £61 million for Sandro.

Conte has been trying to sign Alex Sandro from Juventus for a really long time now but Juve have just refused to cave in. The Old Lady looks in no mood to sell off one of their most talented players. But they might just change their mind if they see £61 million on the table.

Having said that, Chelsea might face a bit of competition along the way as both Manchester City and PSG have shown interest in the player.

Chelsea are also looking to stage a coup of their own by trying to hijack Alex Oxlade Chamberlain from the grasp of Liverpool. Jurgen Klopp has been planning to sign Chamberlain from Arsenal ever since the previous season came to an end. But now it looks as if Liverpool will face competition from Chelsea as the Blues have shown an eagerness to sign the English International.
