Chelsea might be on a superb run during the current season under Maurizio Sarri but off the pitch, the Blues have been facing one problem after the other.

Firstly UEFA have been investigating an allegation against the club which claims the Stamford Bridge outfit had been involved in the purchase of underaged players.

The governing body of football have announced that the final verdict will be announced soon and if Chelsea are found guilty then they could be set for a transfer market ban for a couple of seasons.

Then came the issue of the racist chants wherein a few Chelsea fans were caught making racial abuses to Manchester City’ Raheem Sterling.

The Blues immediately took swift action and banned the people who were found guilty.

But now it seems the London club have been caught amongst yet another row.

This time Chelsea are being investigated against the “alleged racist incidents” during Chelsea’s Europa League game at MOL Vidi.

Chelsea drew the game 2-2 in Hungary last week and UEFA have now confirmed that they have launched an investigation against the Premier League outfit.

A Uefa statement said: “According to Article 31 (4) of the Uefa Disciplinary Regulations, Uefa has today announced that it has commissioned an Ethics and Disciplinary Inspector to conduct an investigation in relation to the alleged racist incidents that occurred at last week’s Uefa Europa League group stage match between Vidi FC and Chelsea FC played on 13 December in Hungary.

“Information in respect to the results of this investigation will be made available by the middle of January.”

UEFA have gone through several reports before launching the investigation and even Macedonian referee Aleksandar Stavrev who was in charge of the game has stated this incident in his report.

“According to Uefa rules, the governing body’s executive committee, president, general secretary and disciplinary bodies may commission ethics and disciplinary inspectors to conduct investigations, either alone or in cooperation with other Uefa or non-Uefa bodies.” as per the Telegraph.
