Chelsea boss Antonio Conte has been pretty vocal about the fact that his team has failed to bring in proper reinforcements during the summer. He has targeted the management for the lack of activity in the transfer market as a result of which the Blues are currently languishing in the third position of the league table – nine points behind leaders Manchester City.

This anger from Conte has also led to a divide in the management as Chelsea’s technical director Michael Emenalo stepped down from his post a few days ago. Now though it seems as if the Blues board have finally woken up from their slumber and are now trying to back their manager by bringing in a few players.

According to a report, Chelsea are sending scouts to Italy in order to watch Inter Milan duo, Milan Skriniar and Antonio Candreva. Inter are scheduled to take on Atlanta on Sunday in the Serie A and as per the report, the Blues scouts will be present during the match.

Milan Skriniar, 22, is a  central defender and Conte now desperately wants to sign a player in that position – especially after his strained relationship with David Luiz.

Antonio Candreva, 30, on the other hand, is a winger and Chelsea are hoping to sign him as a short-term back up in case Eden Hazard decides to move to Spain next summer.

Chelsea travel to Baku in midweek to face Qarabag FK in the Champions League group stages and then they take on Liverpool in the high profile Premier League clash next weekend.
