Chelsea team news vs Burnley: Reece James to get a start at Turf Moor?

Chelsea have picked up three straight wins in the Premier League and they will head to Turf Moor this weekend in search of their fourth win.

The Blues bagged three points in their Champions League encounter this week as they beat Ajax 1-0 and Lampard will be hoping his young side can keep the winning streak going.

Burnley, unlike other seasons, have made a pretty good start to the 2019-20 campaign and they have tasted defeat in just three out of their first nine matches in the league.

The Clarets were able to hold Chelsea to a 2-2 draw during their last encounter back in April but this Blues side has a lot of confidence under their belt having just defeated Ajax away from home hence we believe Burnley won’t be able to pose any major threats on Saturday.

Chelsea team news vs Burnley:

Chelsea manager Frank Lampard seems to have settled in on his regular starting XI but given they played in midweek too, the boss is expected to make a few changes to his side.

The Blues defence might see a reshuffle in the backline as both Emerson and Reece James are fit and featured on the bench vs Ajax.

Reece James came off the bench in midweek and the right-back could start at Turf Moor replacing Azpilicueta while Emerson moves back into left-back in place of Marcos Alonso.

Kurt Zouma and Tomori have been stellar in central defence and the pair will most certainly reprise their role on Saturday for the Burnley vs Chelsea clash.

Midfielders N’Golo Kante and Ross Barkley are both recovering from injuries and remain doubts for the weekend’s clash at Turf Moor.

And the pair’s absence means Mason Mount will once again play in central midfield alongside Jorginho and Mateo Kovacic.

Christian Pulisic came off the bench vs Ajax and put in a fine display in midweek and many reports claim the American will get to feature in the first XI at Turf Moor.

Tammy Abraham is the first choice striker for Frank Lampard but for the Burnley vs Chelsea clash the youngster might move to the bench in order to make way for Michy Batshuayi.

Batshuayi found the net vs Ajax thereby helping the Blues pick up all three points and Lampard could use his upfront vs the Clarets.
