Chelsea thumped six goals past Barnsley in the EFL Cup in midweek but now they will have to quickly shift their focus back to the Premier League as they take on West Brom this weekend.

The Blues will play their second away match this PL season and they will be looking to get back ito winning ways in the league, after that 2-0 loss to Liverpool last weekend.

Chelsea have won their last 4 matches against West Brom in all competitions and with the kind of firepower which Lampard’s side posses, everyone is expecting them to pick up three points pretty easily.

The Blues boss does have a few notable absentees going into this game but he should be able to name a starting XI enough to overcome the Baggies test.

Chelsea team news vs West Brom:

Edouard Mendy has officially signed for Chelsea and some rumours in England claim the keeper will move straight into the first XI and replace Kepa Arrizabalaga.

Given West Brom are not a particularly strong side so Lampard can take this risk but are not a 100 per cent sure the manager will do it.

Christensen has completed his suspension due to the red card he picked up vs Liverpool but we have a feeling he will not return to the starting XI. Since Rudiger did not feature vs Barnsley, the German could return in central defence alongside Thiago Silva.

Emerson got a rare start in midweek but the Italian will once again warm the benches as Ben Chilwell looks all ready to make his Premier League debut for Chelsea.

Azpilicueta will also be replaced by Reece James on the right-hand side of defence.

Ross Barkley and Kovacic both played the full 90 minutes vs Barnsley but the England international could move back to the bench in order to make way for Jorginho.

N’Golo Kante is also expected remain on the bench while Kai Havertz will keep his place from midweek.

Ruben Loftus-Cheek has fallen down the pecking order since his dismal performance vs Brighton and we doubt if he will make it to Saturday’s matchday squad or not.

Tammy Abraham scored one and assisted two goals in the EFL Cup win but the academy graduate is likely to be dropped vs the Baggies.

Wingers Hakim Ziyech and Christian Pulisic are still out injured meaning Mason Mount and Callum Hudson-Odoi will play on the wings this Saturday.

Timo Werner remained an unused sub in midweek but the German will surely lead the line vs West Brom.
