Chelsea lost the FA Cup final to Leicester City on Saturday but the Blues will have the chance at some redemption when both these sides meet again, this time in the Premier League.

With top-four hopes hanging in the balance, Chelsea welcome Leicester City to Stamford Bridge on Tuesday and just like the FA Cup final, this game will also be played in front of a crowd.

Chelsea fans will be allowed back inside the Bridge after more than a year and according to manager Thomas Tuchel, the fans could help tilt the tie in their favour on Tuesday night.

‘We had some matches where we struggled a bit with momentum and I had the feeling that their support could help,’ Thomas Tuchel told the press while discussing the return of fans inside the stadium.

‘This could be crucial to our team so having the fans back is fantastic. I hope they come in the right moment to help us secure this last win at Stamford Bridge this season.

‘Normally it’s an advantage and to have 8,000 fans feels amazing that it’s possible. It’s absolutely a step in the right direction and we hope that it’s the extra percentage of support that helps us to win tomorrow.’

Without supporters inside the stadium, away teams have found it really easy to pick up points inside enemy territory and for this whole season, the pressure of away matches did not hold any importance.

But now that the fans are coming back, they are sure to get behind their team and this decision could not have come at a better time for Chelsea.

Liverpool’s win against West Brom has put the pressure back on the Blues and if they cannot pick up three points against Leicester City then there’s a big chance Tuchel and his players will be playing in the Europa League next season.

A win for Chelsea will calm a lot of nerves and once again, all eyes will shift to Liverpool who take on Burnley just 24 hours after the Chelsea vs Leicester City match.
