Chelsea have been strongly linked with a move for Borussia Dortmund forward Erling Haaland and according to pundit Craig Burley, the Blues should go all out and get the deal done.

Speaking to ESPN, Burley said: “This is the one guy in world football I would break the bank for at the moment.

“You’re buying longevity, you’re buying a player who, it’s scary to say, can still get better. Power and pace, poise at the end and finishing [in front of goal]. Everything we’ve seen from this young man.

“He’s a bank breaker. The clubs who are able to do it, they have to go to their investors and say, ‘we’ve got to get this man’.

“You go and slap down the biggest offer you can on Dortmund’s table – £150m or whatever.”

Will Chelsea spend the big bucks for Erling Haaland?

BVB have valued Erling Haaland at around £150-175 million so the suitors stay at a distance. But even then Chelsea are more than willing to meet the German side’s demands.

The Bundesliga side have just sold Jadon Sancho to Manchester United and the last thing they want is to sell another star player during the same transfer window.

Chelsea are doing all they can to get their hands on Haaland but as per some rumours, even Mino Raiola is ready to keep Erling Haaland in Germany for one more season and will only talk to new clubs next summer.

In a recent interview Dortmund’s head of first-team football Sebastian Kehl, said, as quoted: “Will Haaland stay this summer? Yes. In the discussions with Raiola for Malen, I did not have the feeling we have to meet again about Haaland.

“We don’t want to give him up.”
