It looks like, Chelsea have finally decided to sell off Nemanja Matic to Manchester United.
According to the Daily Mail, Chelsea and Manchester United have agreed on a deal over Nemanja Matic for a transfer fee which is expected to be around £40 million.
The 28-year-old’s stiuation at Chelsea Football Club has been in muddy waters for quite some time now as the player did not travel with the team to their pre-season tour of Asia. Matic has been training alone at Chelsea’s Cobham training base ever since the interest from Manchester United came into the lime light.
The United-Matic transfer timeline has seen a fair bit of ups and downs over the past two months as it was reported that Matic had come close to joining Man Utd on several occasions. But each time the transfer talks would crumble for some reason or the other. Manchester United snacting Romelu Lukaku right under Chelsea’s nose did not help the deal either and this supposedly was one of the biggest reasons why Chelsea refused to hand over Nemanja Matic.
But now it looks like all’s well between the two clubs and Matic is all set to move to Old Trafford.
Also as per the latest news, Manchester United have agreed to sell off midfielder Marouane Fellaini as Turkish club Galatasaray has shown interest in signing the Belgian. Another clear indication that Jose Mourinho is clearing up some dressing room space to welcome Nemanja Matic.
