Tottenham Hotspur will take on Liverpool in the Champions League final next month and this game could the final goodbye for a number of Lilywhites players.

If Spurs manage to lift the trophy then surely they can persuade some players to remain with them for a couple of more years but in case they fail then Pochettino might just have to see some fine talents walk out of the door.

And one such player could be Christian Eriksen.

Christian Eriksen joined Spurs from Ajax back in 2013 and during the past couple of years, the Danish international has been the creative spark for Spurs.

During the 2018-19 season, Eriksen has played in 50 games across all competitions having made 17 assists and scored 10 goals.

And if reports are to be believed the Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane wants to bring him to the Bernabeu during the summer.

Zidane feels that Christian Eriksen could play the playmaker role in his new look side especially with Luka Modric not being at the top of his game this season and multiple reports have claimed that the Real boss will be launching a bid during the summer.

It will be really hard for Spurs to hold onto Eriksen in case Real Madrid are serious about signing him and even Daniel Levy knows this pretty well.

And this is the reason why Levy wants Spurs to win the Champions League vs Liverpool.

If the Lilywhites are able to win the UCL then Levy can use that as an excuse to jack up the transfer price of Christian Eriksen.

The Football Insider reported:

“A Tottenham source has told Football Insider that Eriksen will be even more valuable if he delivers a standout performance against Liverpool in Madrid on Saturday week.”

The report also claims that if Spurs manage to win the Champions League then they can quote around £20 million more for Christian Eriksen.
