Arsenal have been wanting to sign Denis Suarez from Barcelona for some time now but it looks like the talks have hit dead waters.

Current reports are suggesting that Barcelona are not keen to let Suarez move to Arsenal and the player too wants to stay at Camp Nou until the end of the season.

But Unai Emery seems to have wasted no time in shifting his focus to his next target.

According to the latest reports, the Arsenal manager wants to sign Christopher Nkunku on loan from Paris Saint-Germain.

Nkunku came up through the ranks at PSG and Unai Emery is very familiar which the talents of the midfielder.

BBC are claiming that Unai Emery wants Nkunku on loan until the end of the season with an option to buy during the summer.

While we are yet to hear any concrete news from Paris but PSG should not mind letting the 21-year-old head out given he has been used sparing this season.

So far Nkunku has played in only 16 games for PSG in all competitions which is clearly an evidence that the central midfielder is not important to Thomas Tuchel’s plans.

But the report also suggests that PSG will only let Nkunku leave if they manage to find a suitable replacement for him by the end of January.

PSG wanted to bring young Frenkie de Jong onboard but the Ajax talent has joined La Liga side Barcelona.
