Dani Ceballos has not been able to make a big impact during his loan spell at Arsenal and it looks like the Real Madrid man has already chalked out his future.
His loan deal expires in the summer and a few weeks ago, the midfielder had hinted at a possible return to Spain for the upcoming season. But recent reports had suggested that Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta is not too keen to let him leave and might offer him a new deal at the club.
When asked about offering Ceballos a permanent deal, the Arsenal boss had said, via Metro: ‘No, we mentioned to you guys and at the end of the season [we will discuss that]. We have a lot to play for yet and I don’t want any distractions.
‘We will sit with him. We are always in contact and communication with the players and agents to know what their feelings are.
‘And at the end we have to make a common decision towards what is the best for the club and the player.’
Now, transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has put his seal on this saga claiming that Dani Ceballos is not going to stay at Arsenal beyond the current season.
Romano said on his podcast: “Ceballos is leaving, 100%. He will be back at Real Madrid.

“I think he will be sold or loaned to another club, but he won’t stay at Arsenal because they are planning for a different kind of midfielder. Something different from Ceballos like experience and strength in the middle of midfield.”
Dani Ceballos has played in 24 Premier League games this season for the Gunners but has managed to provide only three assists without scoring a single goal. So his exit from the club should not have any major negative impact.
Mikel Arteta has players like Smith Rowe and Elneny who can do a better job than the Real Madrid loanee and as per some rumours, the North London side are also closing in on signing Brighton midfielder Yves Bissouma.
