Arsenal have been trying to sign Dani Ceballos from Real Madrid for some time now and it looks like the deal is finally on the verge of completion.

Ceballos joined Real Madrid back in 2017 from Real Betis but the player has turned out to be a big failure at the Bernabeu and now reports are claiming that Real are willing to let him leave for a transfer fee of around £45 million.

The player himself had hinted that his future at Real Madrid is far from secure.

“The truth is nothing is clear about my future. I wish I knew! I’m enjoying the tournament and I’m not going to talk about whether I’ll stay (at Real Madrid) or not. I’ve got two weeks to be with my family and make the right choice for me,” Dani Ceballos told the media.

And now reports in England are claiming that Arsenal have moved very close to signing the midfielder on a loan deal possibly with an option to buy at the end of the 2019-20 season.

Sky Sports are reporting: “Arsenal are increasingly hopeful of completing a loan deal for Real Madrid midfielder Dani Ceballos this summer, according to Sky Sources”

If the deal goes through then it will be Arsenal who will be paying 100 per cent of the midfielder’s salary which is expected to be around 3 million euros.

And Spanish outlet Marca are reporting that the only thing left now is to wait for Real Madrid’s confirmation on the whole deal.

As per Marca, “Arsenal seem to be closing in on the signing of Dani Ceballos on a season-long loan, which will not include a purchase option.

“The Gunners are now awaiting Real Madrid’s response, having made an offer to Los Blancos.

“Arsenal are hoping to close the Spaniard’s arrival this week. The talks are advanced, the terms of the deal have been agreed, and all that is missing is the final OK from Real Madrid.

“As MARCA reported, there are still some at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu who believe that Ceballos has a place in Zidane’s first-team squad, but ultimately the Frenchman’s decision appears to have prevailed, having told the midfielder that he would not play much this coming season.

“Ceballos, who was one of Spain’s best players as they won the European Under-21 Championship this summer, wants to play and everything is pointing towards him doing that at Arsenal.”
