Liverpool outcast wants a move to Rangers in order to play under Gerrard: A fact or a flash in the pan?

Daniel Sturridge Liverpool

Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge is keen on a move to Rangers FC for the upcoming season – according to reports.

Sturridge joined Liverpool from Chelsea back in 2013 and the English International played a crucial role for the Reds alongside Luis Suarez for the first couple of seasons.

But with each passing year, the striker’s role in the squad has diminished further to a point where he was eventually loaned out to West Bromwich Albion during the January transfer window of the 2017-18 season.

With the Baggies too, Daniel Sturridge failed to make any sort of impact and managed to play just 6 games -failing to score a single goal.

And now reports are claiming that Sturridge is planning to move out of Liverpool during the summer transfer window and wants to join Rangers FC in order to play under Steven Gerrard.

This bit of news is surely a bit of a shocker especially when there a clubs like Sevilla and Fenerbahce who are said to be interested in signing the striker.

And with all due respect to both Rangers and Gerrard, Sturridge will probably choose to play for either Sevilla or Fenerbahce rather than the Ibrox outfit.

Now we can’t tell for sure if the rumours of Daniel Sturridge wanting to join Rangers FC hold any truth or not.

What we do know that Rangers boss Steven Gerrard has hinted that the club are making plans to bring in a couple of new players before the start of the new season and one of them will be a striker that will replace Kenny Miller.

Who knows, it just might be Daniel Sturridge.
