Premier League sides Arsenal and Wolves are keen to make a move for Juventus’s 25-year-old defender Daniele Rugani – as per a report in The Mail on Sunday.

The report claims: “Juventus defender Daniele Rugani could feature in the Premier League next season as Arsenal and Wolverhampton Wanderers show interest in signing the Italian defender.

“Arsenal and Wolverhampton Wanderers are said to be interested in the defender as they look to shore up their options at the back, according to Tuttosport.

“Wolves have already submitted an £18million bid for the defender’s services but were told they would need to add at least £5m to their offer to be in with a chance securing him, according to TuttoJuve.”

Will Daniele Rugani move to the Premier League?

Daniele Rugani and his girlfriend have been working on their English during the lockdown which has led many people to believe that the centre-back is planning to join the Premier League during the summer.

The defender joined Juventus in 2015 from FC Empoli but this season, Rugani has managed to feature in only three Serie A matches under Maurizio Sarri.

So, it’s no secret the Old Lady will be ready to part ways with the 25-year-old and as per reports, the Italian side want around £23 million for him.

Wolves are clearly keen to lure Rugani in but we are not quite sure that Mikel Arteta also shares the same feeling.

Right now, Arsenal have a whole lot of central defenders at their disposal and the first thing they will need to do is get rid of some of them before they can think of bringing in someone like Daniele Rugani.

Various reports have claimed that Arteta is out in the market looking for a new centre-back but we doubt if the Spanish boss is too keen to spend unnecessary money this summer, more so if he decides to extend David Luiz’s contract at the club.
