Ever since England have been knocked out of the World Cup by Croatia, messages of support for the players and the staff have been pouring in constantly.

Former England International and current pundit Gary Neville said that the players should hold their heads high and hopefully they get a shot at the World Cup finals one more.

Neville wrote: “A great journey and experience for these young ‘England” players. My overriding thoughts tonight are that they should be proud and that I hope they get their again soon to go that final step.”

Gary Lineker too had a similar message.

The pundit wrote: “Utterly choked, but this young side gave absolutely everything. It’s a huge step forward and they’ll only get better in the future. They can hold their heads high, they did our country proud. Congratulations to Croatia.”

Not all the message though were in favour of the England team with men like Roy Keane bashing the Three Lions’s performance while others such as Piers Morgan tried to belittle the whole team.

Former Manchester United and England winger, David Beckham posted a message on Instagram which we think is the best of the bunch.

David Beckham wrote on Instagram: “Gutted, now I truly know what it feels like to be watching a team as a fan, not just a player,”

“The boys did us so proud and there is so much to be excited about. A semi-final of the World Cup is incredible!

“There is also a great crop of young players coming through having won major youth tournaments so the future is bright for this generation and for the next 10 years.

“Never stop believing because the country has had an amazing 5 weeks watching the boys play. We can be proud.”
