Chelsea looking to make two major signings next year: Who are they?

Declan Rice Arsenal

Chelsea have done pretty well this season in the Premier League under Frank Lampard and as per reports, the manager is looking to add more new players next year in the form of Erling Haaland and Declan Rice.

Rice had been targeted by Chelsea last summer but West Ham United managed to hold onto him for the 2020-21 season. But the way he’s progressed over the past few months, there’s no way the Hammers will be able to keep him for one more year.

The name of Erling Haaland though seems to be a fresh entrant to the transfer wishlist and the Blues will have to sweat it out if they wish to sign him from Borussia Dortmund.

Declan Rice is eager to join Chelsea sometime next year so landing him should not be an issue for the Blues but if they really wish to sign Haaland then the Premier League side will have to be ready to spend an awful amount of money.

The London club spent heavily in the transfer market last summer and it looks like they have no intentions of slowing down this year as well.

None of these players are expected to join the Blues at the start of the new year but the manager will be looking to sell off some dead-wood in January to raise funds.

Declan Rice will cost anywhere between 75-85 million pounds since he still has four years left on his current deal with West Ham United. And Borussia Dortmund are expected to charge somewhere in the same price bracket for the Norwegian international.
