According to a latest report, West Ham United midfielder Declan Rice has promised to join Arsenal at the end of this season.

Rice has been the talk of the town for two seasons now with giants like Manchester United and Chelsea very much interested in signing him. Both these teams have made multiple failed attempts to bring him on board.

Now, with the Hammers having a poor campaign, Real Madrid have also been keeping tabs on him as the long-term replacement for Casemiro.

However, the England international has snubbed all these three clubs and has given his word to join Mikel Arteta’s team in the summer.

Arsenal have come out of nowhere to steal a march over the others and their current form in the Premier League is the main reason why they can do such good business.

Players like Zinchenko and Gabriel Jesus have been remarkable signings and if the North London side can win the Premier League then Declan Rice wouldn’t think of joining anyone else, that’s for sure.

However, teams like Chelsea and Manchester United will not give up hope so easily because, under Edu, Arsenal have been reluctant to go into a bidding war.

Nowadays, the club is very sceptical about overpaying for a player so if the other suitors can offer around €100-120 million for Declan Rice then there’s a big chance the Gunners will back off. Rice’s current deal expires in 2024 so West Ham United will want to squeeze out as much money as possible from his sale.

Obviously, if the midfielder has his heart set on joining Arsenal then it will be very tough to change his mind but there’s still a long way to go in this transfer battle.
