Just 24 hours ago, Frank Lampard was said to be the frontrunner in becoming the next Norwich City manager but now it looks like the tides have turned.

As per a report in the Guardian, the Chelsea legend is no longer interested in taking up the job at Carrow Road and he’s informed the Canaries management about his decision.

And it’s not only the Guardian but almost every major publication in England are reporting the same thing so this news is bound to be true.

On Thursday it was being claimed that Frank Lampard was interviewed for the position and the Norwich bosses were actually quite happy with what they heard.

But just one day later, the ex-Chelsea manager seems to have taken a massive u-turn.

Frank Lampard set to become the next Rangers manager?

Apart from Norwich City, Frank Lampard was also being linked with Rangers FC but after Thursday’s meeting, the Gers had promptly taken a back seat.

But now that Frank is no longer interested in replacing Daniel Farke, there’s a big chance that he could be heading to Scotland.

Steven Gerrard has just left Rangers to take charge at Aston Villa and Giovanni van Bronckhorst is currently the bookmakers favourite to become the next Rangers manager.

But since Frank Lampard has now snubbed Norwich, the 43-year-old could once again enter the race to sit at the dugout at Ibrox in the coming weeks.

With Lampard available in the market, the Gers are bound to make contact with him to see if he’s interested but convincing him to move to Scotland will be no easy task. Having said that though, the lure of winning silverware could be something that could eventually tempt him.

Who is going to be the next Norwich City manager?

The rejection from Frank Lampard will be a major blow for Norwich City but apart from the Chelsea legend, they had also held talks with Dean Smith.

Smith is without a job after being sacked by Aston Villa and he could now move up the ladder in terms of becoming the next Canaries boss.
