Pedulla claims: “The valuation is 40 million, the outlets in Italy are difficult despite being a profile appreciated by many (we told you about Lazio and Milan).
“In the last few hours there have been expressions of interest from Chelsea and Borussia Dortmund. The Blues had looked for Chiesa, considered non-transferable by Juve, so they are active in that role.
“Dortmund put Berardi on a list of three or four names. So something can still happen, in recent weeks it was West Ham that inquired about the assessment of the attacking winger.”
Should Chelsea battle West Ham for Domenico Berardi?
Domenico Berardi had a pretty solid campaign with Italy during the European Championship and with so many clubs interested in signing him, Sassuolo should not hold onto him for too long – despite his contract expiring in 2024.
The Hammers can afford to sign the winger since he is valued at only €40 million by the Serie A side but we don’t think Chelsea should make a move for a player Domenico Berardi.

Right now, the Blues have Christian Pulisic, Hakim Ziyech, Callum Hudson-Odoi, Mason Mount, Timo Werner, Kai Havertz who all perform the same role as the Italian winger and we think it will be more sensible for them to spend the money somewhere else.
But having said that, some rumours claim Hakim Ziyech might be sold during the ongoing transfer window, in which case, eyeing someone like Berardi makes a lot of sense.
The Hammers are yet to make any concrete move for the 26-year-old but if the Blues are really serious about signing him then Moyes’ side stand no chance.
