Dusan Vlahovic has been the subject of interest for both Arsenal as well as Tottenham Hotspur but according to Di Marzio, it’s the Gunners who are in pole position right now.

Arsenal were initially trying to bring Tammy Abraham on board but as per the latest rumours, the Chelsea misfit could be on his way to join Jose Mourinho’s AS Roma.

And probably this is why the Gunners have wasted no time in shifting their focus to Dusan Vlahovic and it seems like they will beat Spurs in this transfer race.

With Aubameyang set to play out wide and Lacazette likely to depart in the coming weeks, Mikel Arteta is really desperate to bring in a new top-class centre-forward. And with 21 goals in his bag last season, Vlahovic will be the ideal candidate.

The 21-year-old is valued at £36 million according to TransferMarkt but as per the updates in Italy, Fiorentina want around £51 million to let the player leave. And since he has two more years left on his current deal, the Italians can afford to play hardball.

Arsenal are not likely to bring in a new central midfielder meaning they still have pretty decent funds left in their kitty. Plus if they can offload Lacazette for the right price then paying the desired price for Dusan Vlahovic should not be a problem.

Spurs will not be happy with this news but they are only expected to make a move for the forward if Harry Kane is joining Manchester City.

Before that, they neither have the need nor the finances to push forward for this deal.

Arsenal are yet to put forward anything concrete to sign the Fiorentina forward but if they can meet the sides’ demands then it will not be a problem for them to agree on personal terms with Dusan Vlahovic.
